​About Groenk

 

What is Groenk?

Groenk is a family-run restaurant group in the Serra de Tramuntana, Mallorca, founded by Emese and Balázs, who moved from Hungary to Mallorca in March 2023. The group runs four restaurants: Groenk Bistro & Grill Fornalutx, Groenk Bistro & Grill Deia, Groenk Urban Kitchen Fornalutx and Groenk Pizza & Pasta Sóller.

 

What does the name Grøenk mean?

Groenk has no particular meaning. Co-founder Balázs invented the name to be unique and memorable, and to stand for quality.

 

When did the Groenk restaurants open?

Groenk Bistro & Grill Fornalutx opened in March 2024, followed by Groenk Bistro & Grill Deia in May 2025. In March 2026, Groenk Pizza & Pasta opened in Sóller and in May 2026 Groenk Urban Kitchen opened in Fornalutx.

Where are the Groenk restaurants?

Are the Groenk restaurants open all year?

Groenk Bistro & Grill in Fornalutx, Groenk Bistro & Grill in Deia and Groenk Pizza & Pasta in Sóller are open all year, every day. 

Groenk Urban Kitchen in Fornalutx are open between 1st April and 30th October.  

 

What are the opening hours?

  • Groenk Bistro & Grill Fornalutx: Monday to Sunday, 12:00–22:00

  • Groenk Bistro & Grill Deia: Monday to Sunday, 11:30–23:00 (kitchen closes at 22:00)

  • Groenk Urban Kitchen Fornalutx: Monday to Sunday, 12:00–22:00 

  • Groenk Pizza & Pasta Sóller: Monday to Sunday, 12:30–22:30

 

Is there parking near the restaurants?

Deia: parking spots are very limited, arrive on time to the village to find parking

Fornalutx: yes, there are plenty of parking spots in the village, there is one just opposite the restaurant

Sóller: yes, there are plenty of parking spots near the pizzeria

 

Do the restaurants have a terrace?

Yes, all restaurants have terraces.

Fornalutx: dramatic mountain views

Sóller: mountain views, but pizzeria located by the main road

Deia: restaurant is located in the artistic village of Deiá, on the main road, but it has a beautiful and cozy terrace with a covered terrace part.

Do I need to book a table?

In peak season and around Christmas holidays booking is highly recommended.

How can I book a table at Grøenk?

 

Can I book for a large group or a private event?

Yes, all locations accept group bookings and private events, but with different group size.

  • Deia: we accept we accept groups to up to 110 guests + our private dining room is suitable for private events for up to 24 guests. 

  • Fornalutx: we accept groups to up to 20 guests. 

  • Sóller: we accept groups to up to 20 guests.

What kind of food does Groenk Bistro & Grill serve in Deia and Fornalutx?

Groenk Bistro & Grill in Fornalutx and Deia serves the same menu: Mediterranean cuisine cooked over a charcoal grill: premium steaks from Galicia and Extremadura, fresh seafood, burgers and seasonal comfort dishes. Find here our menu.

Groenk Pizza & Pasta serves Neapolitan-style pizza made with slow-fermented dough, fresh homemade pasta and tiramisu. Find here our menu.

 

What is Groenk Urban Kitchen?

Groenk Urban Kitchen in Fornalutx is Grøenk's relaxed, health-conscious concept, with mostly vegetarian Mediterranean dishes and fresh homemade pasta. Find here the menu.

 

Are there vegetarian and vegan options?

Yes. All restaurants serve vegetarian dishes. 

Groenk Urban Kitchen in Fornalutx serves only vegetarian dishes with some vegan options.

 

Do you have gluten-free options?

Yes. All restaurants serve gluten-free dishes. If you feel like eating pizza or burger, no problem: we have gluten free versions as well.

 

How do you handle food allergies?

Please tell our team about any allergies or intolerances when you book and when you order. Allergen information for all dishes is available on request.

 

Are children welcome?

Yes, children are welcome with special kids menu.

 

Are dogs allowed?

Yes, we love animals! They are more than welcome inside the restaurant as well. 

 

Events

 

Does Groenk host events?

Yes. Groenk hosts seasonal dinners at its Bistro & Grill restaurants in Deià and Fornalutx. In autumn and winter 2026/27, these include a St. Martin's Day goose dinner, Thanksgiving, New Year's Eve in both villages, a plant-based dinner and a Hungarian dinner. Most event tickets cost €42 per person; New Year's Eve costs €95 per person. See all dates and book on our Events page.

Does Groenk deliver pizza in Sóller?

Yes. Groenk Pizza & Pasta delivers in the Sóller and Port de Sóller area through the A Punt app, available on the App Store and Google Play. Find some more info about the app here.

Do you sell gift cards?

Yes. Groenk gift cards are available in €50, €100, €150 and €200 amounts. They are delivered as a digital voucher, ready to email or print, and can be bought on our Gift Card page. The gift voucher can be used in all our restaurants.
